You'll need
- Large cardboard boxes (2-3)
- Tape
- Scissors (adult use)
Steps
- 1Cut bottom and top off boxes
- 2Tape boxes together end to end
- 3Create a crawl-through tunnel
- 4Let them crawl back and forth
Why this works
Crawling through a tunnel builds spatial awareness and core strength, and the in-one-end, out-the-other novelty keeps younger toddlers going back to it again and again.
Try also
- –Add blanket roof sections
- –Put toys at the other end
- –Make a maze with multiple exits
Ensure tunnel is stable. Supervise to prevent climbing on top.
